Mosser Celebrates 35 Years as an ESOP Company

October is Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Month, and Mosser is celebrating our 35th anniversary as an ESOP company!  Mosser’s ESOP is a retirement plan that provides our eligible employee-owners with the opportunity to receive payouts in the future.

Mosser’s commitment to a sound retirement strategy for our employees can be traced back to our Profit Sharing Plan in 1968.  The Profit Sharing Plan eventually began purchasing stock from WMOG, Mosser’s parent company, in the early 1980s. In 1985, the ESOP was formed, and in the years following, it has grown and evolved into what it is today!

Since 1985, Mosser has continued to refine its culture by investing in our people. As owners of Mosser, our people have a personal stake in our projects, providing even greater assurance that our projects are completed with the highest quality and craftsmanship. The ESOP ensures not only the success of Mosser and its projects, but the individual success of our people as well.

Mosser’s ESOP committee planned a number of creative events throughout the month to celebrate the pride we all have in our ownership of the company:

Spirit Fridays!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

There was also a ”get to know your fellow employees” contest, sweet treats, and a chance to win prizes!

Prior to COVID-19, the ESOP committee held breakfasts, outdoor picnics and other celebratory events for employees to enjoy. This year, we are so grateful for the committee’s innovation and creativity in developing contact-free activities that could be enjoyed virtually while maintaining employee health and safety.
