The new Stroh Center provides athletes and spectators the modern amenities of a state-of-the-art venue for concerts, commencement, lectures, and campus and community events. The new home for Falcon men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball includes a large lobby space and an upper concourse to access the seating bowl which has a capacity for approximately 5,000 spectators.  The lower level houses the athletic offices, storage, locker rooms, team store, and a Hall of Fame area commemorating the history of BGSU athletics.

For the incorporation of sustainable strategies into the building program the new Stroh Center achieved LEED Gold Certification. Sustainable strategies included were:

• Optimizing the performance of the HVAC system
• Construction waste management
• Using products with at least 10% recycled content
• Water efficiency
• Low-emission paints and finishes
