Fremont Ross High School

Fremont, Ohio

As part of a district-wide master plan to build four new elementary schools and one new high school, Mosser played a key role in the preconstruction planning, budgeting, and bidding phases for the new Fremont Ross High School.

A critical aspect of the project was relocating the existing running track to minimize disruption to the Fremont Ross track season. This was followed by the completion of the early sitework package, which included installation of site utilities, preparation of the building pad, and creation of temporary laydown and parking areas, enabling the start of foundation work in the spring.

The new high school is designed to foster a student-centered learning environment, featuring 29 classrooms and a student resource office. The building also includes six staircases, with monumental stairwells positioned outside the student dining area and the media center. Additional highlights of the state-of-the-art facility include a performing arts center, a 12,000-square-foot gymnasium, and an 8,000-square-foot auxiliary gym.
