Sandusky County Courthouse: Renovation

Fremont, Ohio

This project was a complete renovation of the existing 3-story courthouse. The renovation included a new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system, date and security, flooring, ceilings, walls, doors, casework. Existing marble walls were carefully restored along with patching / infilling masonry openings, painting, demolition of interior walls, cutting in new door and window openings in existing walls.

Mosser encountered many unforeseen structural elements while installing the MEP items, finish carpentry, as well as, matching 100 year old paneling in courtrooms.  Mosser’s talented team of finish carpenters worked their magic to match the grain and finish to achieve a final product that was undetectable, customizing all the wood door frames to fit in existing openings. All oak trim was hand crafted locally to match the profile of the original courthouse.
