University of Toledo: Howard L. Collier Nursing and Allied Health Building

Toledo, Ohio

The Howard L. Collier Nursing and Allied Health building is located on the campus of The University of Toledo Medical Center.

Classrooms and laboratories, designed underground, offer students hands-on training in this state-of-the-art facility. Large concrete columns support three stories of the building, high in the air, allowing an abundance of nature to be seen in the undisturbed woods along the rolling ravine, just beyond the rear of the building. The environment and function were both important elements of design.

Careful planning by Mosser ensured that the site would be preserved and protected throughout construction. Special attention was given to preserving the ravine and all trees on site.
