Birchard Public Library

Originally built in 1887, the much-anticipated addition and renovation of the Birchard Public Library in Fremont, Ohio, is nearing completion. The project involved the construction of a new 8,800 sf addition which includes a larger children’s area and new offices on the first floor. The new addition was constructed first, with the library’s staff moving into this new space after its completion so that the renovation of the existing 25,000 sf library could begin.  Additional features of the library include a reading mezzanine, Wi-Fi café, custom reading enclosures, and an extraordinary front lobby.
Currently, Mosser is in the process of completing the final finishes of the renovation, such as installing casework, ceiling tile, flooring, touching up paint, and putting the finishing touches on some of the remaining areas.
Not only has it been an honor to complete this project in our hometown, but it has been a great pleasure working with the Birchard Public Library staff throughout the entire project.  Despite having to move thousands of books and relocate their offices, they did it all with smiles on their faces.
