Ohio Logistics Warehouse and Marelli Manufacturing Facility

Bowling Green, Ohio

The new joint warehouse space for Ohio Logistics and manufacturing space for Marelli totals over 100,ooo sf. Mosser’s design/build team custom designed the east half of the building to support a 40-ton class D crane with a 20-ton auxiliary hoist. The warehouse floors are reinforced for a die shop and die maintenance. Mosser self-performed the installation of equipment foundations for four injection mold machines, a cooling tower and two plastic silos. With four truck docks for each of the two tenants, the space also features an internal office buildout, restrooms, ESFR fire suppression system with pump, and an addition off the east side of the building to house all mechanical equipment for Marelli’s operations.

The project broke ground a month late after the start date was pushed back by the owner and tenant to allow them time to review the design. Despite the delay, Mosser turned the project over to the owners on the original completion date. By executing the self-performed portions of the work quickly and efficiently, Mosser saved time on the project. Since the proposed first month of overhead costs were not needed, the project came in under budget.

Due to COVID-19, Columbia Gas could not schedule time to run a gas line to the new facility. Experts in creating project solutions, Mosser worked with the owner of the neighboring warehouse, Ohio Logistics (also a tenant in the new warehouse), to run a temporary line from the neighboring facility to this new build.
