University of Toledo: Larimer Athletic Complex Renovation and Addition

This exciting project on the University of Toledo campus was a complete renovation to the existing building and two additions. The existing building is approximately 25,500 sf and the additions total approximately 15,200 sf.

Numerous structural modifications took place for the new spaces while demolition continued throughout the existing building. The project includes new locker rooms, showers, and doubling the existing weight room floor space. The renovated building houses a football team academic center, as well as, coaching staff offices on the second floor. The exterior of the building has Arriscraft stone for its façade to match other buildings on campus. The building also boasts large aluminum curtainwall openings to allow natural lighting into the building.

The Larimer Athletic Complex is located at the north end of the Glass Bowl. Therefore, during construction, it was necessary to move the goal post netting at the north end of the stadium so the addition could be constructed.
